
The Springfield Area Transportation Study (SATS) has prepared the Draft FY 2026-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), a four-year program of federally-funded and/or significant road, rail, bicycle, pedestrian, and mass transit projects. The TIP document is on file for public review until December 8, 2025, HERE or at the SSCRPC office.
Comments and questions may be submitted by email at SSCRPC@sangamonil.gov, or in writing by mailing comments to Springfield-Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission, 200 South 9th Street, Rm 252, Springfield, IL 62701. Written comments will be accepted through December 8, 2025.
A Public Information Meeting will be conducted as part of the SATS Technical Committee meeting on Thursday, December 4, at 8:30 AM. Information about accessing the meeting will be available on the website no later than November 26, 2025. Contact the Regional Planning Commission at (217) 535-3110 or SSCRPC@sangamonil.gov for more information.
Public notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comment on the TIP will satisfy the Program of Projects requirements of the Section 5307 Program.
